I previously frequented the Starbucks in Phillips Plaza, which closed and moved to their current location on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook . I anxiously awaited the grand opening which was worth the wait. The new location is much easier to get in and out of.
The staff is professional, friendly,and always greet you with a smile.
Kelly the Manager is probably the most well organized manager of a Starbucks I have ever experienced. The store is always clean, and the coffee station kept well stocked!

We're not in Kansas anymore Toto ... Or midtown Manhattan or anywhere else in the world where Starbucks employees are hiring. I would imagine the help wanted as looked something like this :

Wanna hang out and let the orders stack up and still not hustle?
Wanna job where you can slam everyone's order down on the counter and yell out your name in the nastiest voice ever ....

BTW avoid the drive thru unless you have an extra 2 hours!!! -

So this is probably the slowest Starbucks I have ever been to..., 15 minutes to place an order and there was only 2 cars ahead of me .
The drive thru is very short on only three car lengths. Not sure on the reason as the inside was empty. With all the new locations available I will not be back. Just a heads up could be an isolated visit coincidence but literally every person who was in the parking lot backed up with out looking be extremely careful when diving thru or walking in extremely dangerous -

I'll keep this one to the point. This Starbucks is a new location for Lynbrook. Those of you who know the area well will probably remember the Starbucks in Phillips Plaza just across Sunrise Highway from the LIRR Lynbrook train station. A few weeks ago, that location permanently closed, and it was just a few weeks later that this new location farther west on Sunrise Highway (still in the borders of Lynbrook opened). Thank goodness they started construction long before they closed the other one!
Honestly, this Starbucks (so far) is so much better than the old one. I'm sure a lot of that has to do with needing to set that strong first impression, so we'll see how it ends up in a few months.
Pros for the new location:
- A much bigger parking lot (technically smaller but not being shared with 10 other stores)
- A drive-thru (convenient if you're traveling east on Sunrise Highway but inconvenient if you're traveling west)
- A very friendly and accommodating staff! It looks like they got some new faces here, and everyone so far seems upbeat and helpful
Cons of the new location
- No longer close to the LIRR so I can no longer get coffee here before catching a train (or when I return home)
- Inconveniently located if you're traveling west (requires 2 u-turns, although it could be worse).
Overall, this Starbucks feels much more up to par with what I've experienced in the rest of the country. Starbucks around Long Island and NYC are usually just ok, but this one seems to have a much better vibe so far. I'll be sure to check back in in a few months with an update (once this place gets more crowded I'm sure). -

So this is the new Starbucks in the area replacing the other one that was in Philips Plaza
I was very excited because it has a drive thru
Although the people are very pleasant, my drive thru experience with the correct order has been less to be desired
My order has been wrong and I then have to wait I. The drive thru line for them to correct it
I'm sure this is just start up issues with the new location, so I'm hopeful that they will work it out...
